The moon hid the sun behind it for the longest duration in the century on Wednesday morning in the last great solar eclipse (in which the entire disk of sun becomes invisible) that would be seen for the next 123 years. The total eclipse lasted for 6 hours 39 seconds in regions where it was visible.
