Public speaks out on Mauna Kea management plan
Opponents have long charged the university is not the right entity to develop the plan because of the past record of mismanagement and damage to the mountain. UH President David McClain apologized to those who felt hurt by the university's actions before passage of the 2000 Mauna Kea Master Plan.
