Savers the big losers as banks lower their rates

Anglo Irish Bank , due to be bailed out by the Government, will reduce its savings rates on Tuesday. The controversial bank has had the best rates for savers up to now. It was top of the best buy league tables with a rate of 6pc for money deposited for a year.
