The Mulcahy Law Firm, P.C. has once again partnered with valley municipalities to deliver necessary educational opportunities to board members and those who work to keep community associations in and around the Phoenix area running without issue. Beth Mulcahy, founder and senior partner of Mulcahy Law Firm P.C., is a strong supporter of homeowner association education and has coordinated these seminars for the fall season in an effort to help associations avoid the legal and financial problems that some community associations face. Board members, managers and residents can find education and answers on the legal aspects of governing their community association through these seminars.
Several of the seven seminars will be conducted by well-respected community association advocate and attorney, Beth Mulcahy. Seminars will take place throughout the Phoenix area November 5, November 7, November 10, November 17 and November 27. In collaboration with municipal staff, each seminar is tailored for the particular municipality in which it is taught. Some of the topics to be covered include: legal issues faced by community associations, hot topics in community associations and condominium high rises, the 2012 legislative update, CC&R enforcement and more.
Each seminar begins with a presentation by an experience community association attorney, educating community association boards and members on a specific issue with actionable tips that can be taken back to their board of directors. After each presentation, participants will have the unique opportunity to ask questions during a question and answer period.
Board member education is a vital aspect of successful associations according to Ms. Mulcahy, “Through education, board members gain essential information on current issues that can help them work proactively to avoid unnecessary lawsuits and legal disputes that can hurt the community finances and stability.”
