Kesef Silver Company is pleased to announce that its first limited edition issue, a pure one-ounce .999 fine silver bullion medallion round has just been released. October 25, 2012

Kesef Silver Company is pleased to announce the release of its first limited edition collectible .999 fine silver bullion round celebrating Israel, its land, its people, and its 3,000 year Biblical history. The “proof-like”, one troy ounce silver “Menorah” is being issued in a limited edition and for a limited time period.

The obverse of the round takes its design from the menorah depicted in a frieze on the Arch of Titus in Rome, constructed after the destruction of Jerusalem in the year 70. The round displays the command given to Moses in Exodus 25:31, “And you shall make a lampstand of pure gold” in both English and Hebrew.

The reverse of the round includes a representation of an ancient “omer cup”, used in Temple rituals and depicted on coins found that were first minted by Simon Maccabeus of the Hasmonean Dynasty in 143-135 BC, during the first century CE in the Second Temple period, the time of “Jesus”, and during the first and second Jewish revolutionary periods. Original “shekel” and “half-shekel” coins found in Israel with this “omer cup” design from this period have sold for more than $1 million at auction. The reverse also includes text from the original first century coins, “For the Redemption of Jerusalem” in both Hebrew and in English. The reverse also displays the weight and purity of the round, “One Troy Ounce” and “.999 Fine Silver”.

This beautiful limited issue round is designed to be a “must have” for those who love Israel, its history, and its significance as a light and blessing to all nations. Silver (or “kesef” in Hebrew) is the metal of “redemption”, as we see it used in Biblical writings time and again as medium of exchange in transactions involving the Almighty and the “redemption” of his chosen people.

The Hebrew Bible records the patriarch Abram (before his name was changed to Abraham) as being “very rich in cattle, gold, and silver” (Genesis 13:2). Abraham purchased a piece of property in the land of Judea for a family burial plot in what is today's Hebron in Israel, for 400 shekels of silver (Genesis 23:15). Silver has been used as “money” for transactions in the land of Israel and all of the world for over 3,000 years even though silver is not an native to Israel. As such, silver was imported into Israel through trade, as it was when Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt and into the promised land carrying Egypt's gold and silver with them (Exodus 11:2-4).

The “Menorah” round is the first in a series of limited-edition designs from Kesef Silver Company featuring Israel's rich 3,000 year Biblical history.

The “Menorah” round is available for purchase online in the United States and in Israel at http://www.KesefSilver.com and at http://www.KesefSilver.co.il and can be shipped worldwide subject to all applicable customs, duties, and laws.
