“It is very rewarding to see the health information management community and our employees unite around a great cause to support children treated at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Reach Out and Read is a national program that prepares America’s youngest children to succeed in school by partnering with doctors to prescribe books and encourage families to read together. During well visits, doctors and nurse practitioners teach parents the importance of reading aloud to their young children every day, offering age-appropriate tips and encouragement. The Reach Out and Read program needs 75,000+ books a year to enable each child gets 2 books per year...For more information about the Reach Out and Read program, visit http://www.chop.edu/reachoutandread.
