Southeast Portland families looking for a safe alternative to trick-or-treating are invited to the Warner Pacific College Fall Family Festival on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. The event is a chance for kids of all ages to show-off their costumes, trick-or-treat in a safe environment, and enjoy getting to know new friends and neighbors. October 19, 2012

The Festival kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with dinner and games, followed by trick-or-treating through the College’s residence halls, and a spooky haunted house in the Student Union Building. All events are designed as drop-in activities to accommodate family schedules, with the dinner being offered until 7:00 p.m. and the other activities ending at 8:00 p.m.

Students from Warner Pacific College are volunteering their time to provide the Family Fall Festival for the Southeast Portland community. This ethic of serving others is a key component to the mission of the College and is part of their philosophy to be “In the City, For the City.” The Family Fall Festival presents a perfect opportunity for neighbors to get to know the Warner Pacific community in a fun and safe environment.

“We believe that Warner Pacific is called to be more than just a college campus,” said President Andrea P. Cook. “Getting to know our neighbors and finding meaningful ways to be active in our community is incredibly important to the College.”

The Family Fall Festival will be held on Wednesday, October 31, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on the Warner Pacific College campus at 2219 SE 68th Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97215. It is presented in partnership by Warner Pacific College and The International Fellowship Family.
