After much success from previous events, the West London based wine merchant Roberson Wine, has released their latest wine tasting schedule. UK) 13 October 2012
Roberson Wine has announced its new wine tasting schedule coming up to Christmas. Among those on offer are two horizontal tastings of 2000 Bordeaux and 1964 Barolo, as well as an Italian food and wine matching evening and their yearly big Christmas tasting, ‘The Winter Walkabout’.
Buyer Mark Andrew says, ‘We really feel we have put together a stellar line up of events coming up to Christmas. After the success of our first food and wine tasting evening a few months ago, Chef Paul Hannegan is back with a taste of Italy, accompanied by some fantastic Italian wines.
‘We are incredibly excited about our horizontal tasting of 1964 Barolo, a real once in a lifetime event. Old wines are something we have a particular passion for at Roberson, and our most recent haul of ancient bottles is one of Piedmont's best ever vintages. These wines were built to last, so it will be fascinating to pull the corks and see just how good Nebbiolo gets.
‘The Winter programme is the usual mix of fun events for beginners (The Wine School), tastings for those that are starting to get more serious about wine (Winter Walkabout and Wines of Portugal with Charles Metcalfe) and fine wine events featuring the world's finest wines ('64 Barolo, Dagueneau vs Cotat, '00 Bordeaux)...It is a modern, relaxed and highly professional merchant, offering a second to none service to customers in the UK and beyond. They believe in wines that show a unique sense of place, an uncompromising vision and a desire to do something different. Through the flagship store on Kensington High Street, a comprehensive website and extensive programme of tasting events, the team at Roberson are committed to sharing their passion for artisanal wine with novices, enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike.
