The apology came after the corporation's Security Correspondent Frank Gardner reported details of a confidential conversation he'd had with the Queen in which she revealed that she had raised concerns with the previous government about the case of the radical muslim preacher, Abu Hamza. On Monday, the European Court of Human Rights rejected Mr Hamza's right to make a final appeal against being extradited to the US on charges of plotting to set up a terrorist training camp and assisting hostage-taking.
