A landslide triggered by heavy rainfall in Sichuan Province has left at least 21 people missing and forced over 4000 others to flee their homes today. About 100000 cubic meters of rock and mud slid down Ermanshan Mountain in Hanyuan County around 5 am, destroying 58 houses at the foot of the mountain. Heavy rains and devastating floods that have battered southern China in recent weeks have left over 800 people dead.
