Kibaki orders unregistered phones switched off
www.ntv.co.ke President Mwai Kibaki has tonight ordered the switching off of all unregistered phone numbers from mobile phone operators' networks. The directive, coming from the highest authority in the land, comes in the wake of flip-flopping by CCK and the ministry of communications officials on the matter, with the deadline for registering sim cards having long passed.
