Girls Night Out, a popular monthly event that transforms the iBAR at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens into a female-friendly oasis of shopping, sipping and socializing, recently raised money for a local charity.

The charity, Quantum House, offers free lodging, hot meals and a comfortable place to rest for parents whose children are undergoing treatment at Palm Beach Children’s Hospital at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach.

During the Sept. 20 fundraiser, the iBAR came alive with live music by a local band, women enjoying good times with their friends, and guests getting excited about giving to the cause.

“It was such a unique blend of community and charity,” said Robi Jurney, Quantum House’s executive director. “It’s beautiful to see such goodness and generosity from people who have been newly introduced to the house.”

iBAR is the spectacularly chic centerpiece of PGA National that attracts not only club members but also visitors with homes in Palm Beach Gardens. It offers specialty drinks and signature cuisine in a spacious bar that overlooks the resort’s stunning swimming pool.

“The evening was special because many of the Quantum House moms were also able to stop by and join in on the fun,” said Laura Belcher, the organization’s community-investment coordinator.

Other activities at Girls Night Out included complimentary makeovers by Saks Fifth Avenue and tarot-card readings. The event generated more than $500.

The reason the iBAR attracts so many guests is because it has been named one of the “Best Happy Hours in Palm Beach Gardens” by a local newspaper. Clients of Waterfront Properties and Club Communities have enumerated the iBAR – part of a $65 million property renovation – as one of many reasons for investing in PGA National real estate.

Girls Night Out benefits a different charity each month. Prader-Willi Research Fellowship at Scripps Florida.
