The latest edition of the Absolute Rights Newsletter has been published, and in it Managing Editor Tim Young shares his views alongside several contributing writers in a collection of important article.

The main article was written by Absolute Rights contributor Gaye Levy, who runs and operates the BackdoorSurvival.com blog. Levy enlightened readers about the 14 biggest mistakes made by preppers who are trying to store food for extended periods of time.

Things like storing food in improper temperatures and failing to rotate the out of date items are included in Levy’s list, and she details the specific measures that can be taken to avoid them.

The Crisis Ops portion of the Newsletter includes valuable information on the sun, and how preppers can sometimes forget how significant it can be when the power goes out.

“The sun is one of, if not our best, sources of survival energy on the planet. Think about all the things the sun can do when the power is out,” the article said.

Young wrote the Contender’s Corner section of the Newsletter about the apparent knowledge of the Obama administration that attacks on the US embassy in Libya had “nothing to do” with the controversial anti-Islam film, as previously thought.

“It seems very interesting that the President, knowing that the film had nothing to do with the violence, continued to confirm reports throughout his administration by apologizing and denouncing the film,” said Young in the article. “It was almost as if this administration is looking for ways to limit the freedom of speech.”

Finally, the Global Watch part of the Newsletter highlighted the recent uproar over Spain’s economic situation, which has only gotten worse since the previous round of news months ago.

“A lot of people around the world began to think that the conditions in both places improved… after all, we stopped hearing about it,” Young wrote in the article. “No news is good news right? Wrong, very wrong.”

Spain is becoming “Greece Part 2,” and Young can’t help but ask, “Is America next?”
