S.A. has been awarded a contract to build the second phase of a workforce accommodation expansion for the Escondida copper mine in the Atacama Desert in northern Chile. S.A. at the end of 2011, is expected to finish by the end of September, 2012. When complete, the 7,700 person remote camp will provide sleeping accommodations, common facilities and utility infrastructure to support a mine expansion project at the world’s largest copper mine.

The dormitory-style accommodations feature spacious bedrooms with adjacent shared bathrooms. Common facilities include a dining room and kitchen, a central building with medical clinic, administration offices, access hall, boot room, gymnasium and fitness centre. Structures & Logistics.
