By winning the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps, Michael Schumacher won for a record 10th time in a season (previously he shared the record with Nigel Mansell - 9 wins in a season). Also, winning for the sixth time at Spa (seventh actually, considering he also won 1994 before being DSQd for dubious reasons), he become the most successful driver ever on the circuit. Spa-Francorchamps has always marked a very special place for Schumacher. Not only is it like a home race to him (no other circuit being so close to his home town Kerpen), but in 1991, he made his debut at Spa. In 1992 he took his first victory at Spa. His win there in 2001 was his 52nd, breaking Prost's record of 51. Three years later, in 2004, he secured his 7th World Championship title at Spa.
