Casenet, LLC, a provider of innovative enterprise level care management systems solutions, announced they were named by IDC Health Insights as a major player in the care management industry. Casenet’s TruCare product contains some 30 subsystems and components including comprehensive Case Management, Disease Management, and Utilization Management subsystems.
“Care management and care coordination solution providers are evolving beyond the basics of traditional case, disease and utilization management. Beyond an integrated care, case and disease management platform, non-medical services, such as home and community services and transportation management services, are now a must have fundamental for complete multi-disciplinary care planning services, “ said Janice Young, program director, IDC Health Insights, and author of the report. “ Medical and non-medical services (directed at improving quality of life) delivered in a single integrated platform is essential to care managing most high acuity patient populations, particularly dual eligible seniors (those eligible for coverage under Medicare and Medicaid).”
The IDC Health Insights report lists several strengths of Casenet’s TruCare solution, including Technology Platform, Medicaid Experience, Provider Experience and Engagement in the ACO Market.
“Casenet is pleased to be acknowledged by IDC Health Insights as a major player in the care management industry,” said Chuck Bryan, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Casenet, LLC. “We are very proud of how our solution is being used to achieve improved member health outcomes and lower administrative costs.”
Casenet has experienced tremendous acceptance in the market. TruCare is implemented in a diverse customer base of multi-product Health Plans (commercial, Medicaid and Medicare), high acuity Medicaid plans, TPA’s, ACO's and Provider at-risk entities. Customers range in size from small specialty service entities up to a 2.5 million member health plan with over 1,000 concurrent users. As of today, TruCare has been deployed to manage the health of 3 million members across 23 states.
Over one year ago, Casenet introduced two new subsystems: Transportation Management and Home and Community Services. The Transportation subsystem supports the authorization, scheduling, management, and maintenance of transportation requests. Casenet’s Home and Community Services subsystem manages the provision of non-healthcare services and products to sustain quality of life for very high acuity members. These two subsystems position the TruCare product to be particularly well-suited for use by health plans and other entities that manage high acuity populations.
The IDC report includes nine of the leading vendors and solutions deployed in the US. The vendors were selected based on market share, investment, strategy and market history.
