Genzyme and Sanofi-aventis reach agreement at $74 a share, Reuters reports
Sanofi-aventis (SNY) and Genzyme (GENZ) have reached an agreement in principle to a $74 a share in cash deal, reports Reuters. According to a source with knowledge of the discussions, the deal also includes a contingent value right, or CVR, tied to future payments based on the performance of Genzyme's experimental multiple sclerosis drug. The value of the CVR could not immediately be established.
