Visualant and its Partner will Disclose First Prototype of Consumer Products at JIMA in Tokyo

October 10-12, 2012, held in Tokyo where SPP will have its exhibition booth . A sneak preview of potential Visualant prototypes appeared recently in Forbes.

The devices will carry Visualant’s patented Spectral Pattern Matching (“SPM”) technology, which captures a Spectral Signature of minuscule color characteristics and properties in matter that are invisible to the naked eye. Unlike heavy and fragile spectrometers, Visualant’s low-cost scanning instruments can be discretely installed and customized to fit anywhere, providing safe, non-invasive, diagnostic and authentication solutions.

“This is a major milestone in Visualant’s history, as our patented technology now comes to life in state-of-the-art devices manufactured by Sumitomo Precision Products,” said Visualant’s CEO Ron Erickson. “In parallel, we are developing mobile apps enabling consumers to use the technology to improve their lives in exciting ways.”
