Burning Tree Ranch Clinical Director Presenting at 25th CCSAD

Burning Tree Ranch, a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility in Texas, announces the addition of its Clinical Director, Heidi Voet Smith, to the list of esteemed speakers at the upcoming Cape Cod Symposium on Addictive Disorders in Hyannis, MA. This event is for all those in the fields of mental health and addiction treatment and will focus on the best practices in treatment and recovery. Heidi’s presentation is entitled “Advanced Techniques in Treating Chronic Relapse.” Her presentation will be on 4:00p-5:30p slot on Friday Sept 7th, 2012.

The four-day event at Cape Cod Resort and conference center will begin with on Thursday Sept 6th and end on Sunday Sept 9th...As a young woman, she experienced the impact of addiction in her family, and she contended with a long-time eating disorder finally overcome through a devotion to a 12-Step program. As a licensed counselor, her ability to integrate clinical knowledge and skills in a 12-Step environment makes her a true asset among clients aiming to achieve a substance-free lifestyle while at Burning Tree. Heidi is going on to her 3rd year as clinical director at Burning Tree, and her achievements include co-creating the successful Family Program Workshop, designed to assist clients, family members, and significant others to develop a greater understanding of the impact of addiction on their relationships.
