Pitchers Andrew Cashner and Joe Thatcher were added to the Padres roster Saturday as the Sept. 1 date for roster expansion arrived. Teams can add as many as 15 players this month, but the Padres will add around seven with most of those players having already been with the Padres earlier this season.
