The spirit of adventure is set to soar as Aleenta Hua Hin-Pranburi Resort and Spa gives wings to a gourmet indulgence with a difference.
Be among the first daredevils to join the resort’s ‘Gourmet Gliders’ retreat for three days of culinary explorations and taste sensations, as well as a pulse-quickening Paramotor panoramic pleasure-flight over picturesque Pranburi.
Day One of the retreat begins with a lazy gourmet breakfast in your room. Then it’s off to Aleenta’s organic farm to meet Google the Goat and to pick the fresh and sustainable produce that will make up the classic Thai lunch you will cook under the expert guidance of our Head Chef and his kitchen wizards.
Don your apron, roll up your sleeves and dive in. After lunch, and perhaps a glass or two of Aleenta’s carefully selected house wines, sit back and enjoy a three-hour culinary craft spectacular with everything from traditional fruit carving to exhilarating wok juggling.
In the evening, relax under the stars and prepare for the delights of a five-course dinner and cocktail mix-a-thon. Day Two dawns with a quick dash to the local market to pick out a mix of eastern and western produce, for a ‘Chef’s Challenge’ lunch which will see the resort’s chefs amaze you with their combinations of European flavours and Thai ingredients.
After lunch, prepare for the thrill of a lifetime as the daring young men of Paramotor Thailand strap you into their flying machines and whisk you heavenward for a gravity-defying ‘Discovery’ glide over the beautiful beaches and rolling farms of Pranburi to see the flight from farm to fork. This journey flies as the crow flies taking in the experience of a local fisherman returning to show with his daily catch, continuing on around the bay and loop around the 30 km surrounding areas where we source the finest local ingredients for our very own Aleenta’s farm to fork concept
After getting high in your Paramotor, it’s back to Aleenta for some liquid nitrogen and an afternoon of modern interpretative cuisine, with an audience participation afternoon that takes in molecular gastronomy, freeze drying and herbal smoking (all strictly legal, assures the Resident Manager).
In the evening, prepare to be whisked away to a local beachfront restaurant for a good old-fashioned seafood feast, fresh from the region’s sparkling waters and become a local for the evening.
Day Three includes a traditional Thai breakfast and the presentation of a signed copy of Aleenta’s cookbook. “I think it’s safe to say there’s never been a culinary retreat quite like this one,” Mr Noble said. “We’ve brought together the culinary delights of this undiscovered region, from sea and land...It’s a reminder that there’s always a big picture to consider when it comes to sustainable fine dining.’’
