Australia's 2012 London Paralympic Games campaign has got off to a brilliant start... Shooter Natalie Smith claimed our first medal of the Games (bronze - SH1 10m air-rifle) while fellow Games debutante, cyclist Susan Powell, had the honour of claiming Australia's first gold of the 2012 Paralympics (C4 individual pursuit). In all, our cyclists bagged five medals on day one, including two gold. Veteran Kieran Modra, and pilot Scott McPhee, smashed the world record for the individual pursuit (VI) in their stunning gold medal ride.
