Usually over the summer months wood burning stoves aren’t the most popular item as one can imagine. UK) 29 August 2012
Throughout the summer months of 2012 the UK-based online business Woodburning-Stoves.co.uk has been seeing a lot searches for Westfire stoves on their website. This comes as quite a surprise to the retailer considering the Westfire brand wasn’t overly successful in the winter of 2011; maybe things have changed?
Scott Morris, Marketing Manager at Woodburning-Stoves commented on the summer pickup: “It’s strange that we got such a strong flow of orders over the summer months as we weren’t running any promotional campaigns. We’re all still a bit confused as to why Westfire has been selling so well considering they’re quite up-market stoves and not the wood burner you find in your every day house! We considered that Westfire them self might have run an advertising campaign, but if they have, it has been kept very low-key as we haven’t been able to detect any specific promotional activity from them...”
An influx of sales like this to a specific brand of wood burning stove is rarely just a coincidence, but until some more information is uncovered, it’s hard to pinpoint the reasons behind this. Regardless, it’s hardly a bad thing for Woodburning-Stoves as it’s essentially a passive income.
Westfire have long been in the stove market for a long time and since starting out have manufactured all of their stoves in Denmark. The brand strongly believes that a stove must compliment the house it’s installed in as it will outlast the furniture, decor and anything else in that room. This is why their stoves are designed with a “future-proof” style which focuses on simplicity and timelessness.
The reason Westfire have been so successful is due to their passion for stoves as they believe a stove is one of the best ways to bring a family together under one roof.
