Poland has released without charges an Italian man accused of stealing a section of barbed wire from a former Nazi death camp. The wire was taken from a section of the Auschwitz-Birkenau prison that was not protected for conservation, Polskie Radio reported. FULL ARTICLE AT United Press International

    The man was arrested at Krakow Airport, after customs officers notice a 30 centimeter piece of barbed wire. The man told officials that he had taken the barbed wire in order to remember his father, who had himself been inmate at the camp.
