CEO of Security Consulting Firm Creative Services Inc Appears on CNN to Comment on Colorado Theater Shooting

Sklar, Creative Services, Inc (CSI) President and Chief Executive Officer, appeared on The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer on Friday July 20th to consult on best practices in movie theater security after 12 people were killed and 58 people were wounded at a midnight movie showing in Aurora, Colorado. Sklar, interviewed by CNN correspondent Mary Snow, advised that there are multiple factors to consider in developing a business security plan and that there is no one-size-fits-all solution.
Sklar lists local crime rates, among other considerations, as one of the critical factors in determining the level of technology for a security program.

“It is unfortunate that we are often called in after a tragic situation has already occurred,” said Sklar. However, he is pleased that awareness of security issues seems to be on the rise. “More and more, companies are realizing the risks that are out there and choosing to take proactive instead of reactive approaches to protect their employees, organization and the public.”

To the victims and victims’ families, Sklar says he hopes they may gain strength and support from the rest of the country. “Our hearts and prayers go out to the people of Colorado right now.”
