Working from home, either running a home business, or as a remote employee, requires discipline and organization, believes author and online business coach, Fiona Lewis. August 08, 2012
In an interview today, Australian author and Mumpreneur, Fiona Lewis has spoken about the importance of work from home mums to develop the right mindset...I’m not saying that these people should be ignored, but rather that they be given guidelines as to when you are free to chat” said Ms Lewis. “Be disciplined enough to have your answering machine switched on if necessary, and return calls when you are ready to do so. You are running a business, not a hobby, and it should be treated as such by you, and those around you.”
Often the reason for succumbing to distractions is procrastination, believes Ms Lewis. “If you are facing a particular challenge, or having a mental blank, it is often easier to take your mind elsewhere, rather than persevering in finding a solution.”
Ms Lewis is conducting a series of one day workshops in Australia throughout August. Information on her online business mentoring can be found at Mentoring Mums Online.
