UGA Researchers Make Key Breast Cancer Discovery
New research from the University of Georgia Cancer Center has found that the blocking action of an enzyme called GnT-V significantly delays the onset and spread of tumors in mice with cancer very similar to many cases of human breast cancer. Regulation of the enzyme could slow cancer growth for months or years and allow for successful localized treatment.
