The pediatric immunization program at Sound Shore Medical Center has seen a 100 percent increase in immunizations in the last two years, with 94 percent of one year old children completing all of the vaccinations that were suggested by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Sound Shore Medical Center was also awarded the National Certificate of Excellence for achieving Healthy People Immunization goals two years ahead of schedule...It is a major teaching affiliate of New York Medical College, member of Sound Shore Health System and is accredited by The Joint Commission, the nation's oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency.
