Praya Palazzo, historical Boutique Hotel in the heart of Bangkok, is coming up to its second anniversary. It is now inviting travelers to visit and see what is so special about it.
Praya Palazzo’s intimate setting across the Chao Phraya River makes it the perfect holiday destination for visitors looking for genuine relaxation.
Dating back to the ancient kingdom of Siam, when Bangkok was called ‘The Venice of the East’, the mansion was built to be the home of a noble of the Court, Praya Chollabhumipanich...In 1996, the school closed due to financial difficulties and the residence was abandoned.
After a decade left to decay, the old paladio attracted the attention of Assistant Professor Khun Wichai Pitakvorrarat, who had been looking at it from across the river. Convinced of its value and potential, Khun Wichai teamed up with his wife to renovate the building in 2006. It was an expensive and difficult undertaking because meticulous work was needed to conserve the architecture and original designs.
