"These members offer a host of talents and experience to the organization as it helps create nationally accredited centers of early learning in neighborhoods that need them the most and works to positively affect the public discourse surrounding the critical nature of early childhood education," stated John Breitfeller, EFS Executive Director.

Barbara C...She has facilitated strategic planning discussions for EFS in the past and will provide invaluable nonprofit administration expertise, fundraising acumen and knowledge of the Dallas community.

Ken Barth has over 20 years of leadership experience in the technology industry and is currently President & CEO of Symphonic Source, Inc., a software development company...Mr. Barth is also actively engaged in state legislative efforts regarding education, and will be both a technology leader and a strong voice in helping EFS articulate the particular public policy needs of the children, teachers and small businesses which it serves.

Nancy Reagan, a former EFS board member returning to service, is a Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Realtor and active community philanthropist...Reagan remained a faithful volunteer to EFS during her time away from the board, assisting in vital ways with the organization’s annual campaign and development efforts. A former owner of a regional advertising and public relationships company, as well as a syndicated columnist, Ms. Reagan brings broad community outreach expertise to the EFS board.

Margaret Spellings, attorney at Hallett & Perrin P.C., is also returning to the EFS board and was formerly a chair for two key EFS board committees...Spellings has assisted the Junior League, served as First Vice President of the American Women’s Club of Thailand and been a board member and volunteer for many superior private schools both locally and internationally...Spellings’ proficiency in business, law, governance, education and philanthropy will be a tremendous asset to EFS.

Educational First Steps is a non-profit organization improving the quality and availability of early childhood education for economically disadvantaged children, by helping create nationally accredited early learning centers in neighborhoods that need them the most.
