Laurie Campbell, president of the not-for-profit credit counselling service, was featured on the popular television The Marilyn Denis Show. July 15, 2012
Late last year, CTV aired a special personal finance episode of The Marilyn Denis Show. This show featured Canada’s leading experts to talk about a variety of money issues and challenges that everyday Canadians face. Canada has become a nation of consumers, bombarded with messages to buy more and more. Indeed, Canadians today are looking at over 1.5 trillion dollars of household debt. This fact alone demonstrates that the need for credit education and Credit Canada, the not-for-profit credit counselling organization, is the top place to go for financial help. That’s why the Marilyn Denis show selected Laurie Campbell, Credit Canada’s President, as a guest on this special episode.
In Campbell’s segment, entitled “Test Your Money Smarts,” she asks the audience and viewers five important questions for determining the health of their financial situation...Use the term “Spending Plan,” and allow the flexibility to adjust the plan as the situation changes.
“There’s still a stigma around debt, people don’t talk about money,” says Campbell, and thanks to Credit Canada’s debt management programs, Canadians have a resource to help them improve their financial situation.
