In an article published by the Huffington Post on July 12, 2012, the discovery of the fifth moon orbiting Pluto may make it difficult for the team in charge of New Horizons, the first spacecraft ever built to visit the dwarf planet. Nonetheless, if one takes a closer glimpse into history, he will realize that the possibilities of moon exploration programs are endless. With the many accomplishments of space exploration programs, people’s attention will always go back to the first-ever moon landing just a few decades ago in 1969...His works and creations are compiled in the book Moon Stories.

Moon Stories: A Roadmap to Lunar Exploration and Beyond retells Halajian's journey and contribution to the lunar science and space exploration program that landed men on the moon in the 1960s. Halajian had also pioneered technologies such as digital imaging. Many of his ideas had come into physical forms through his determined spirit and brilliant mind.

His story is one of hard work and determination for advancements tickling the imaginations of the scientific community. Not only a story of science and technology, Moon Stories is the tale of one man, his passion for knowing the unknown, and mankind's desire to reach beyond the here and now. Halajian had passed away, but his works live on for the rest of world to see.

This book was featured at the BookExpo America in New York City, NY last May 26-28, 2011.
