The Prospero Foundation, founded by Ulrik DeBo of Debondo Capital, is proud to announce that a micro-loan donation has been made to a farmer in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Matluba, 45, is a widow with three children and lives in the Kyrgyz Republic. She became involved in farming 15 years ago, and her vast experience has allowed her to successfully grow her business, which now yields about 15,000 som from sales of dairy and meat products as well as cotton.

In order to further develop her business, she plans to invest the profits from the loan into repairing a barn to improve conditions for keeping livestock, and in the future, hopes to purchase a car for her family.

Prospero used Bai Tushum and Partners, which is one of the leading microfinance institutions in the Kyrgyz Republic. Its mission is to be a reliable financial partner that contributes to the economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic, through the delivery of microfinance services that increase employment and meet the interests of clients and investors. Bai Tushum and Partners has over 32,000 active clients and was the first microfinance company in the country to obtain a deposit licence.
