American Statistical Association has named Dr. Thomas Lee of UC Davis as the new editor for the Journal of Computational and Graphical Statistics...Thomas’s expertise is related to image analysis, time series decompositions, and quantile regression.”

For the past two years, Dr. Lee has taught at the University of California at Davis, where he is a full professor in the Department of Statistics. He previously taught at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and also was a visiting professor at Harvard...He has reviewed manuscripts and proposals for some 36 journals. Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS), the Statistical Society of Canada (SSC), the International Chinese Statistical Association, and the International Indian Statistical Association. JSM will take place at the San Diego Convention Center July 28—August 2.

The Journal of Computational and Graphical Statistics presents the very latest techniques on improving and extending the use of computational and graphical methods in statistics and data analysis. Established in 1992, this journal contains cutting-edge research, data, surveys, and more on numerical graphical displays and methods, and perception.
