FLOOD AFFECTS 34 VILLAGES, SITUATION LIKELY TO WORSEN IN ASSAM
With the arrival of monsoons, flood wreaked havoc in various parts of Assam affecting at least 34 villages; situation likely to get worse. The monsoon hit the state about a week ago and now the first wave of flood has been triggered as well. The flood affected a total area of 5420 hectare in 34 villages under Teok and Jorhat West Revenue Circle in Jorhat district till Tuesday (June 28) evening.
