Nov. 12-14 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Murata Machinery’s Fabrication Division, a subsidiary of Kyoto, Japan-based Murata Machinery Ltd., produces a variety of reliable and highly productive automated machines for progressive fabrication shops.
Murata’s new Motorum 2048ST turret punch press continues a tradition of innovative design, reliability and productivity that began with the introduction of the first Wiedemann turret punch press in 1934. The 2048ST features a larger table and turret in a reinforced J frame design. The unit’s next-generation, energy-efficient ram drive is less complex and more rigid, resulting in higher punch speeds and greater productivity. The highly efficient design of the Motorum 2048ST is perfect for economical production of parts requiring punching, forming, tapping and deburring.
Also being introduced is the Motorum 3048. Driven by a resourceful blend of speed and power, the machine’s new 33-ton servo-driven ram boasts 510 hits per minute on 1-inch centers with a blistering 5,039 inches per minute traverse speed. The Motorum 3048 uses large turrets for greater on-demand tool availability coupled with indexable multi-tools for ultimate flexibility. SL-1250 and the FG-1250, industry leaders in parts-sorting technology. Muratec automated loaders can potentially double the production of a stand-alone machine and offer reliable, unattended operation.
Charlotte-based Murata Machinery USA, Inc. specializes in applications, service and sales of turret punch presses. Murata’s forming division, formerly Murata Wiedemann, supplies mechanical, servo-drive, and punch/plasma hybrid turret punch presses. The Muratec dealer network throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico also distributes and services a complete line of automated stockers, loaders, and sorting equipment.
