Thermal Gasifier has been chosen as the backbone of a waste to energy (WTE) project to be located in the northeastern US. Thermal Gasifier technology has been selected for use in a waste to energy (WTE) pilot project to be located in the northeastern US. This pilot project will utilize the next generation of Vista's gasification technology, the MFG-8, and is the beginning of a multiple phase plan by the host company to reduce the amount of waste it landfills. The MFG-8 expands on the success of Vista’s previous installations, which span three continents, and is capable of converting virtually any hydrocarbon-based feedstock into usable thermal energy. Upon successful completion of this project, the second phase of the plan will involve the installation of a larger, permanent waste to energy installation.

Commencement of the project will be dependent on the conclusion of funding and contract discussions which are currently ongoing, but construction is expected to begin within the next 3 months. Certain project details are being kept confidential during these discussions, and will be released at an appropriate future date.

CEO Tim Ruddy remarked, “The selection of the Vista technology for this project represents a significant step forward for our next generation Thermal Gasifier, and gives our company a foothold in the critical northeastern corridor of the US. This area of the country has traditionally suffered from both high waste disposal costs and high electricity rates. The Thermal Gasifier offers our customers an economically viable way to control these costs, and this project will be a great way to demonstrate this, and showcase the benefits of the technology.”
