Linkin Park and Music for Relief have pledged to support UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon’s Year of Sustainable Energy for All through Power the World. To support the campaign, the band and Music for Relief are encouraging fans to share Imani’s Story at http://youtu.be/_sxeAlR68gE and raise awareness around the issue of energy access. Then sign the pledge to support sustainable energy for all at powertheworld.org. Solar Suitcase brings lights, power and hope to health facilities in regions without reliable electricity. It is an economical, easy-to-use portable power unit that provides health workers with highly efficient medical lighting and power to help save lives.

The ‘Power The World’ campaign is also helping another a clean energy partner, Nokero (http://www.nokero.com), a for-profit social enterprise that is bringing solar light bulbs to the world’s energy poor. Nokero’s founder, Steve Katsaros says: “It is amazing to see how Linkin Park and Music For Relief have shined a light on energy poverty that cripples about 20% of the world’s population. [it is] so exciting to have partners like this during the UN’s Year of Sustainable Energy for All.”

Music for Relief is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing aid to victims of natural disasters and the prevention of such disasters.
