Organizers say about 8,500 people raised about $1.1 million at this year's Komen Race for the cure in Seattle. That's a significant drop from last year's 14,000 race participants. TV ( http://is.gd/rAK7q6 ) reports the race also provided over 900 breast cancer survivors with an opportunity to come together to support each other and celebrate life. Co-chair Char Davis, a breast cancer survivor, says the race faced some obstacles this year, but nothing as difficult as surviving cancer. ---
