Global Alert, whose underwriter carries an “A” rating from AM Best, was the sixth best-selling travel insurance provider on Squaremouth.com for the first quarter of 2012, capturing 7.47% of sales. It held the same ranking at the end of 2011 with 4.98% in sales.

Global Alert, whose underwriter carries an “A” rating from AM Best, was the sixth best-selling travel insurance provider on Squaremouth.com for the first quarter of 2012, capturing 7.47% of sales. It held the same ranking at the end of 2011 with 4.98% in sales.

Global Alert’s top-selling product, Global Alert Preferred, was the 7th most purchased plan during the first quarter of the year capturing 4.13% of all travel insurance plans sold on Squaremouth.com. This plan allows travelers with job concerns to cancel their trip if they are required to work or if they are laid off after one continuous year of employment. It also offers 100% Trip Cancellation, 150% Trip Interruption, $100,000 Emergency Medical, $500,000 Medical Evacuation and $25,000 Non-Medical Evacuation coverage.

“Global Alert Preferred is attractively priced to customers looking for a high-level of Emergency Medical and Medical Evacuation coverage, while also including Non-Medical Evacuation,” says Squaremouth CEO Chris Harvey.

Global Alert provides Pre-existing Medical Condition coverage on all of its products if the plan is purchased within 15 days of the initial trip deposit date. It also includes Emergency Medical coverage with no deductible.

Global Alert, owned by TripMate, has been sold on Squaremouth.com since 2007 and offers three of comparison site’s 250+ travel insurance plans.
