A MAN left with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a tram on Flinders St near Federation Square last night has yet to be identified almost 12 hours after the accident. The man was hit at about 8.20pm as he crossed from Fed Square to St Paul's Cathedral.

Wednesday when he attempted to cross Flinders Street between Federation Square and St Paul's Cathedral, police say. He suffered head injuries considered to be life-threatening.Police said the man has a distinctive tattoo on his right shoulder.
