For more than 40 years, Pasadena’s Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center, Impact has been providing treatment for substance abuse to thousands of people, from the poorest of the poor to some of the most famous celebrities in Hollywood, including Mr. James Caan. The James Caan celebrity golf tournament is held annually at the El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, California. This event works to benefit the Impact Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center in Pasadena, California. The Impact Treatment Center helps those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction by offering a variety of services; including living residences, extensive treatment programs, and outpatient clinics. Impact is a non-profit organization and treats a variety of clients of differing socioeconomic status. The Impact Treatment Center offers the lowest available rates in the industry and “believes that everyone should have access to quality substance abuse treatment.”
As a graduate of Impact James Caan is doing his part by giving back to the facility by holding the annual golf classic. The event began with James and his brother Ronnie, who are both heavily involved with Impact. The James Caan golf tournament is able to spread drug and alcohol awareness as well as generating funds that will go directly towards the facilities expenses. Funds are raised through the player fees, which cost around $1,500 dollars as well as generous donations from various celebrities and corporate supporters. Celebrities in attendance included Mark Wahlberg, Scott Caan, and Josh Duhamel. This event allows participants to enjoy an alcohol and drug free day of golf, raise funds for Impact, and spread the awareness of an alcohol and drug free lifestyle. The event features a world-class buffet, a full day of golf, and an award ceremony.
