With a menu that includes a selection of sweet and savoury pancakes and omelettes, quiches, all-day breakfasts and a choice of delicious waffles, there’s a hearty meal or light snack to appeal to everyone. the happy egg co. believes that the hen comes first, and are therefore committed to producing great-tasting eggs laid by the happiest hens.
Simon Wilson, Category Development Manager at the happy egg co., explains: “At the happy egg co. we are always keen to promote the use of free range eggs in all types of cooking and to remind consumers how versatile they are as an ingredient. We are really excited to be expanding the happy egg co.’s offerings and by opening another branded restaurant we can offer loyal customers the reassurance of knowing the eggs they’re eating are of the same standard as those they enjoy at home.
The new restaurant, which will create 15 new jobs in Essex, will serve freshly-prepared meals which are all made using happy eggs as the key ingredient.
“Reflecting the free range nature of the happy egg co., the restaurant very much focuses on bringing the outside in, and includes uncomplicated farmhouse-inspired wooden furniture, kids activities as well as ‘eggcentric’ little touches. We expect the restaurant to use over 2,500 eggs each week.”
The family-friendly restaurant’s central location, affordable menu and cosy surroundings are sure to make it popular with children, students and adults alike. The opening of this third outlet is another big step for the brand, which has been busy in the last few months rolling out branded quiches, scotch eggs and deli fillers to supermarket shelves.
