On April 25th at ACG Intergrowth in Dallas, Texas, V-Rooms™ Virtual Data Rooms will announce customizable security enhancements for its virtual data room and board portal products. These security enhancements give data room administrators the ability to customize password security levels in three new ways. First, room administrators will be able to set custom password complexity requirements such as password length, and if certain characters and capitalization must be present. Virtual Data Room administrators will also be able to create customized rules for how often users can update their password and the number of previous passwords that cannot be reused. Lastly, the room administrator will be able to modify failed access procedures such as the number of consecutive failed login attempts before the user account is locked.

“Security is a top priority here at V-Rooms,” said Dan Bradbary, CEO, “and we’re excited to make that process more customizable by giving our clients even more control over their data room.”

V-Rooms will make its security enhancement announcement at the 2012 ACG Intergrowth Conference in Grapevine, Texas at the Gaylord Texan Hotel. ACG is one of the premiere networking and thought leadership gatherings for middle market M&A professionals. This year, ACG Intergrowth will run from April 25th until the 27th.

Historically, the most common use of a virtual data room has been in the merger and acquisition due diligence process. However, virtual data rooms and secure file sharing are becoming the norm for the types of information that must be shared selectively with multiple parties. For example, litigation preparedness, bio-tech research, the pre-patent process, boardroom communications, and operational and financial data all require that documents be shared and stored securely. Leaders in these industries are now turning to virtual data rooms to solve this problem.

“With virtual data rooms being used in so many different and new ways, our clients' security needs have also become more varied,” said Karen Perkins, President of V-Rooms. “This is why we put so many security customizations in the hands of our clients. With V-Rooms, you get a customizable solution that fits your needs.”
