Brandon Daniels, who serves as President of Managed Services at Clutch Group, joined leaders in the legal industry to discuss “Predictive Coding” at the LegalTech 2012 conference at the New York Hilton Hotel.
With a special focus on technology and how it impacts the legal industry, LegalTech is a leading conference for legal departments and law firms to exchange information and get a hands-on understanding of how technology can improve law practice management.
In addition to Mr. Daniels, the other experts who participated in the “Predictive Coding” panel included: Ron Friedmann, Esq., Consultant and Blogger from Strategic Legal Technology, Howard Sklar, Senior Corporate Counsel from Recommind and Brian Ingram, Technology Specialist from LexisNexis.
“This is an important topic and I’m honored to have been part of the discussion,” said Mr. Daniels after the Conference. “Today, legal departments involved in litigation and investigations are struggling to interpret and review an ever increasing volume of data in a timely manner. The industry is actively looking for ways to improve the efficiency of the discovery process and it’s become more and more focused on the technology that can directly aid in fact development.”
Mr. Daniels added: “I believe that advanced review tools and the effective implementation of suggestive coding technologies will be particularly valuable to those teams and individuals focused on fact finding across a wide universe of information. And, the end result is that these technologies promise clients a cost effective, consistent and potentially even more accurate analysis.”
As keynote speaker and session moderator, Bruce MacEwen, President of Adam Smith, Esq., one of the most widely read and highly respected publications in the legal industry, said: “These technological breakthroughs in the document review process have given legal departments and law firms the ability to deliver a faster more accurate data review to the client. For several years now, Clutch Group has successfully applied technology to legal services and shown better efficiency, increased quality and a reduction of risk for corporations. Without a doubt, the integration of technology and human process is the wave of the future.”
