Power 101 list, a list of 101 “movers and shakers in the safety world”.
The article featuring the Power 101 appears in the international publication’s January issue, in which editor Dave Johnson introduces the safety contributors as leaders who commonly possess competitiveness, ambition and discipline. Johnson describes Pettinger as a “…grad of the Geller school of safety popping up on the speaking circuit more and more, discussing predictive analytics, the use of observations and other safety data to predict and prevent injuries.”
Pettinger earned his doctorate in psychology from Virginia Tech with an emphasis in Industrial Organizational Psychology. For 20 years, he has consulted with organizations from around the world, providing change management in their safety cultures and helping to reduce injuries in their workplaces. In the last five years, Pettinger has led several change initiatives as an implementation & change manager for Predictive Solutions, formerly DBO2.
“It is very humbling to be included in this list alongside so many of my mentors,” said Pettinger. “I am happy to use this leadership role to further promote the use of predictive analytics in the workplace to save lives, while working with my colleagues at Predictive Solutions to realize our ultimate vision of eliminating death on the job in this century.”
