Landi Kotal: Residents blocked the Pak Afghan high way in Khyber Takya against the misbehavior of local political administration here on Friday. “We are not allowed to carry flour bags for our domestic use, alleged the protestors. Awal Sher blamed that officials were themselves involved in flour smuggling to Afghanistan. Every subidar of khasadars force has vehicles for flour smuggling, told another protestor. He added that even the officials “ pick ups” “Datsuns” are used for flour smuggling, which has become a profitable business in the tribal areas, particularly Landikotal. The protestors blamed the administration for creating hurdles and difficulties for the local people to carry flour bags for their domestic need. The protestors blocked the road for more than three hours due to which the local people and the passengers suffered very much. The official of Khasadar force told that the local people would not be allowed to smuggle flour through check posts. Flour smuggling is strictly forbidden to Afghanistan, told Khasadar officials. They tried to arrest the common tribesmen of Sultan Khel tribe under collective responsibility clause of “FCR” but failed to do so.
