Allvoices needs its community of users to influence what matters to them most by affecting the credibility and ranking of each news report and engaging in a conversation with other Allvoices users by rating, commenting, and inviting in new community members.

When logged into your User Profile, you will see a Points Tab on the right side of your profile page. Click on the Points Tab to view Your Points, Your Friends Points, and Total Points for Comments, Rate Up, Rate Down, Referrals, and Bonuses. Once you accumulate 6,500 total Points, you can redeem them for a $25 cash reward paid through PayPal. In areas of the world where PayPal is not accepted, a $25 check will be issued instead. You can continue to earn Points and be eligible for multiple $25 cash rewards.

Each Allvoices User is awarded:

• Automatic 250 points for registering on Allvoices and becoming a contributor
• 4 points for every comment – should be meaningful and related to the report
• 2 points for every Rate Up or Rate Down while logged in
• 100 points for referring a friend to join Allvoices and they contribute
• Added Bonus - for friends you introduce to Allvoices, you make 25% of their points for life

Included in the Points tab on your user profile page, there is a handy calculator for predicting the potential amount of points you can earn with each related action (i.e. Commenting, Rating). To estimate how many points you can earn, click on the SHOW CALCULATOR link to see the possibilities for each separate action.

When you reach 6,500 Points, click on the REDEEM YOUR REWARDS link at the top of the Points tab. A pop-up box will appear with more details on how to redeem your points. When you reach 6,500 Points and are eligible to redeem your $25 cash reward, the gray button will be changed to a green button. Click on the green REDEEM YOUR POINTS button to redeem your $25 cash reward. Allvoices will then send a follow-up email to you within 24 hours, giving more information on redeeming your Points and requesting details from you on where your payment should be sent.

If there is not a green button, then you have not yet reached 6,500 Points and are not yet eligible to redeem your Points for the $25 cash reward. Remember, you continue to earn Points beyond the initial 6,500 Points redemption and can earn multiple $25 cash rewards.
