Hurricane Muifa in China hurt its way through the protections of a large chemical plant located in the vicinity of the city of Dalian in the north coast, which has since been threatened.

According to records the agency Ansa, quoting the New China agency, groups of workers and soldiers developed repair work on Monday, while other crews evacuated people from surrounding areas.

The Chinese authorities did not detail the type of chemicals that can be detached from the plant.

Meanwhile, weather reports warned that Typhoon will make its major force in the course of the next few hours also in the province of Liaoning, where Dalian.

By midday Monday in China, about 100 000 people had been evacuated from coastal Shandong province, south of Liaoning
