US Navy Seals helicopter crash,31 dead- Deadliest incident since Afghan war

Incident which is thought to be deadliest single incident since Afghan war began in 2001 have seen a rocket-propelled grenade destroying US Navy Seals Chinook helicopter.

The attack by the insurgents in Afghanistan resulted in killing 31 American Special Forces troops and seven Afghan soldiers.

This was an ultimate shock for USA as it was the first time in its history that the United States had lost its gold-plated AAA credit rating.

It is also reported that the seals which were in the helicopter and were later killed were not among the 23 who killed Bin Laden.

Although they belonged to the same unit 120-strong Seal Team Six and were trained with those who killed Bin Laden.

The helicopter crashed in the Tangi Valley in the volatile Wardak province, which borders the Taliban stronghold province of Kabul.

The Tangi Valley, dubbed ‘Death Valley’, is known for being one of the most hostile corridors in Afghanistan.
